Jaclyn N. Diaz
Jaclyn Diaz is an Associate Attorney at Ed Fox & Associates, where she focuses her practice primarily in the areas of police misconduct and illegal employment practices. Jaclyn represents plaintiffs in a large variety of police misconduct cases that include wrongful detention, false arrest, excessive force, malicious prosecution, and wrongful death. In the employment context, Jaclyn represents employees who have been discriminated against because of their disability, race, gender, or age, or retaliated against for complaining about discrimination.
Additionally, Jaclyn represents clients who have been terminated because they filed workers compensation claims, employees whose union breached its duty of representation, and public sector employees who have been removed from their position for political reasons. Jaclyn joined Ed Fox & Associates, Ltd. in 2019.
Jaclyn graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, making Dean's List throughout her law school tenure and graduated with a Certificate in Advocacy. While at Loyola, Jaclyn worked with her professor to run his Annual Constitutional Law Colloquium which brought together scholars from all over the world to discuss complex constitutional and civil right issues. Jaclyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois.
While in law school, Jaclyn spent a year as a law clerk for the Cook County Public Defender's office which solidified her desire to advocate for those who have suffered injustices and further inspired her to become a civil rights attorney.
