Tricia M. Crabtree received her undergraduate degree with honors in 2022 from the University of Central Florida, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Diversity and Social Inequality.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2022, Tricia moved to Chicago, where she attended law school at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Tricia graduated from Chicago-Kent and received her Juris Doctor in Law, Cum Laude, in 2025.
While in law school, Tricia was recognized for her academic success, being awarded three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in the areas of Employment Discrimination, Trial Advocacy 2, and Evidence. Tricia was also a member of Moot Court Honor Society, for which she competed and coached as an appellate advocate.
In 2023, Tricia interned for Cabrini Green Legal Aid, where she assisted in expunging and sealing criminal records. She also worked in Chicago-Kent’s Civil Litigation Clinic, assisting in Employment Discrimination cases and § 1983 matters. In 2024, Tricia interned at the Midwest Innocence Project in Kansas City, assisting in the litigation of wrongful conviction cases for clients who were often falsely incarcerated at the hands of police misconduct and discriminatory investigation practices.
Tricia primarily focuses her practice on Police Misconduct and Employment Discrimination cases. Tricia handles matters involving wrongful detentions, false arrests, unreasonable searches, malicious prosecutions, excessive force, due process violations, and other forms of police misconduct. She also litigates employment cases involving discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, criminal records, and other protected characteristics.
Tricia has a true and genuine passion for civil rights, and that passion is the very reason she decided to become an attorney. Tricia carries that dedication with her into every case, and she will fight for those whose rights have been violated.
